The industrial designer Jorma Vennola (b. 1943) has had a very versatile career in industrial design since the 1970s. He started his career by designing toys and glass objects and has since branched out into taps, white goods and technochemical product packaging. Iittala’s Paula glass range is one of the best-known examples of his Finnish glass production. Jorma Vennola’s output reflects well the wide scope of industrial art.

Jorma Vennola was awarded the State Design Prize in 1978 and he was named the Industrial Designer of the Year in 1990 by the registered association Industrial Designers Finland. Vennola has also received Kaj Franck award in 1999.
