Treat your cutlery gently
Parts
The Hackman® spoons and forks are made from 18/10 stainless steel, which is a durable material that is easy to take care of. The knives are made from stainless martensitic steel in order to get the correct shape and sharpness of the blade.. Hackman® cutlery can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand - no additional cleaning is required. For the Gourmet beef cutlery, the crayfish knife and for the cheese knives we recommend washing by hand.
Stainless steel is a very durable material. However, under certain circumstances it may rust. In spite of all the techniques that are available today, a material that is completely resistant to rust has not yet been found. Thus, stainless steel means steel with a better resistance against rust, not that the material will never rust.
In order to always keep your cutlery beautiful, it is good to remember these hints:
- Wash the cutlery immediately after dining. If you do not have the time to do that, at least rinse off the food.
- If you do not have the time empty the dishwasher immediately, leave the dishwasher door open. Thus the cutlery is not left in the damp air.
- If you wash your cutlery by machine, do not put too much cutlery in the basket. Please check that the blades and the spoons are not on top of each other.
- Cutlery in silver should always be washed by hand!
- Do not leave the cutlery to soak for a long time.
